Long-Term Social Visit Pass is Suitable For:

• Foreign nationals seeking employment in Singapore
  
  Note: A local sponsor and Form V39I are not required for applicants holding the Employment Pass Eligibility Certificate
  
  
• Foreign nationals visiting Singapore under technopreneur/entrepreneur scheme
  
  
• Foreign female social visitors whose children/grandchildren are studying in Singapore on a Students Pass
  
  Note: The purpose in issuing the Long-Term Social Visit Pass for the mothers or grandmothers is to accompany and look after their children/grandchildren studying in Singapore. If the mother is granted the permission to remain in Singapore with the child, then the grandmother will not be eligible for the pass and vice versa
  
  
• Spouses of Singapore citizens or permanent residents
  
  
• Children under the age of 21 whose parents are Singapore citizens or permanent residents
  
  
• Spouses, unmarried daughters (above 21 years of age), parents, parents-in-law, step-children or handicapped children of Employment Pass (P1 or P2) holders
  
  
• Parents whose children (above 21 years of age) are Singapore citizens or permanent residents
  
  
• Foreign nationals (45 years of age or above) with good financial standing
  
  
• Foreign nationals seeking permission to deliver a child in Singapore
  
  Note: A letter is required from the Embassy or High Commission of applicant's country stating that her newborn child will follow the parent's nationality and a valid travel document of that country will be issued to the newborn child. If the application is approved to deliver a child in Singapore, a security deposit of between S$1,000 to S$3,000 may be required

• Foreign nationals (age 45 or above) with good financial standing are eligible to apply for a renewal of Long Term Social Visit Pass up to 5 years. Apply for Social Visit Pass Renewal
  
  
• Foreign nationals holding Long-Term Social Visit Pass may apply for Work Permit (FW), Employment Pass (P1, P2 or Q1) or S Pass. Apply for Work Permit (FW), Employment Pass P1, Employment Pass P2, Employment Pass Q1 or S Pass
  
  Note
  
  
  • Long-Term Social Visit Pass should be valid for at least four more months before applying for a Work Permit
    
    
  • LTSVP holders cannot work in occupations such as bar/dance hostess, masseur or at food-stalls
    
    
  • LTSVP holder should first secure a job with an employer, after which the employer should apply for the work permit
